A softphone is a software program for making telephone calls using a personal computer, rather than using dedicated hardware. The M5 Softphone is designed to work with our phone system and behave like a traditional Cisco telephone. It appears as an image of a phone, with a display panel and buttons with which you can interact. It is used with a headset connected to the sound card of the PC, or with a USB headset.

M5 Softphone is available as a monthly subscription or for a one time fee, making it a cheaper alternative to a hardware phone without any sacrifice to functionality. It also takes up no space as the phone is software based and “lives” on a laptop or desktop PC.
